Marketing & Social Media Officer

Title: Marketing and Social Media Officer

Reports to: MD

Job purpose:  As our Marketing and Social Media Officer you will be responsible for the daily marketing activities of the business, communicating the Purple Moose brand to a range of audiences across online and offline mediums. Working closely with both our Director and Sales Administrator, you will oversee brand development, social media & content creation, email marketing, oversee website maintenance, creative direction and design agency management to support the overall business strategy for a period of 7 months to cover sabbatical leave.


 Marketing and Social Media Officer: 

  • Create marketing and social media content, ideation, and implementation schedules.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are clear and that there is brand consistency in marketing and social media messages.
  • Grow and expand the company’s online presence into new platforms, plus increases presence on existing platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Research and monitors activity of company competitors.
  • Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages.
  • Work with sales on promotional material and campaigns to ensure brand image is consistent throughout.
  • Work with our external website developer to maintain, monitor the performance of and continually improve the main website including the online shop.



Content creation & social media marketing experience.
Strong brand and marketing communications experience.

Press Releases.

Print advertising.
Digital marketing, design and content.
Experience with e-commerce.
Strong analytical skills for email campaigns.
Passion & knowledge of craft beer.
Desire to work in a small business that has big plans.

A minimum of 2 years marketing experience in a similar role.

Familiar with Adobe Illustrator or similar graphic design software.


Accurate with strong attention to detail.
Excellent at prioritising.
Highly organised.
Ability to manage own workload.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to build relationships.

Fluent in Welsh
Knowledge of Purple Moose Brewery beer.


7-month FTC (to cover sabbatical leave)

Flexible working hours, minimum 2 days a week, can be up to 4 days a week as dictated by work requirements.
Holidays – 20 days per annum plus 8 bank holidays pro rata.
